Y( _ Requ ~` Owner _w ~ r Date moop~oaeo..e vm:., mo. - us.;rr.}{RV2C MEMORANDUM TO: GARY LYMAN, BUILDING DEPARTMENT FROM: PHIL OVEREYNDER; WATER DEPARTMENT DATE: AUGUST 22, 1994 SUBJECT: MAROON CREEK RANCH IRRIGATION/SNOWMAKING PUMP STATION I am requesting that you put a "hold" on the subject permit in order to get clarification on the intended use of the pump station. The City of Aspen has a raw water lease agreement on the subject property and also owns an interest in the water rights. The proposed use of the pump station for snowmaking appears to be inconsistent with the adjudicated water rights for the Herrick Ditch as well as with the raw water lease agreement which limits use of the water to land covered by the raw water lease. Both the plans and permit application indicate the pump station will be utilized for snowmaking. I have requested a meeting with legal counsel for the Maroon Creek Ranch on Monday, August 29, 1994, to resolve this and other pending issues.
