AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF PITKIN
COUNTY, COLORADO ESTABLISHING PUBLIC PARKING FEES AT THE
ASPEN/PITKIN COUNTY AIRPORT
Ordinance No. Q1.i-2006
Recitals
1. The Aspen/Pitkin County Airport's East Side Infrastructure Development program has
resulted in the relocation of some public parking capacity to a more remote area south of
the terminal building, known as Lot C.
2. At a work session on August 25, 2005, the Board of County Commissioners concurred
with a staff recommendation to pursue a differential parking fee structure based on
parking lot proximity and convenience to the Airport Terminal Building.
3. The differential parking fee structure can be implemented upon installation and final
testing of the revenue parking equipment at Lot C, which is expected by August 31, 2006.
4. The BOCC will consider this Ordinance at first reading at a public meeting on August 9,
2006, with a second reading at a duly noticed public hearing on August 23,2006.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Pitkin County, that it hereby implements the following public parking fee
structure at the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport, effective on the date that the Airport's Lot C
parking system is fully operational:
Lot A (Short- Term)- 0-60 minutes- Free
61 minutes or more- $2.00 per hour, $10.00 per day maximum
Lot B (Short Term)- 0-60 minutes- Free
61 minutes or more- $2.00 per hour, $10.00 per day maximum
Lot C (Long-Term)- 0-60 minutes- Free
61 minutes or more- $1.00 per hour, $5.00 per day maximum
A copy of the Ordinance is available for public inspection in the office of the Airport
Manager, 233 East Airport Road, Aspen, CO 81611 and the Office of the Clerk and Recorder

FOLLOWING FINAL ADOPTION BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS.
