Agreements never finalized. As per Ellen Anderson, Emergency Management
Coordinator "Pitkin County completed planning phase and presented findings to
homeowners. Pitkin County was reimbursed by grants for planning phase. However,
homeowners never acted on implementation phase. Project terminated for lack of action
by homeowners."

RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO
APPROVING MODIFICATION TO
ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT "M01", Number 1422CAA030011
WITH THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR
BUREAU OF LAND MANAGMENT
RESOLUTION No. I')(} 2006
1. The United States Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management, and Colorado
State Office BLM wishes to assist Pitkin County (County) in protection from catastrophic wildland
fires.
2. To this end, in 2004, BLM granted Pitkin County funding to complete fire hazard mitigation.
3. The objective to this Assistance Agreement Number 1422CAA030011 is to help complete fire
hazard mitigation for at least two areas identified as seriously at-risk of wildfire and to provide the
necessary information and education, organization, and other support needed to mitigate the threat..
4. The benefit to Pitkin County will be the reduction of wildfire hazard within and around wildland
urban interface communities, which will reduce the potential for injury, death, property damage, and
resource degradation as a result of wildfire.
5. The terms of this Assistance Agreement Number 1422CAA30011 is provide for the BLML to
contribute $10,000.00 and Pitkin County to contribute $1,111.00.
6. The Pitkin County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) adopted Assistance Agreement
Number 1422CAA30011 on second reading on January 28, 2004.
7. The purpose of this Resolution is to change the Assistance Representative to

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County,
Colorado, to adopt this "Modification to Assistance Agreement Number 1422CAA30010 with the
United States Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management.
