PITKIN COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
SPECIAL MEETING
FEBRUARY 15,2000
CALL TO ORDER: Chairperson Harper called a special meeting of the Board of
County Commissioners to order at 12:00 p.m.
COMMISSION MEMBERS PRESENT: Commissioners Shellie Roy Harper, Leslie
Lamont, Dorothea Farris, and Mick Ireland,
COMMISSION MEMBERS ABSENT: Patti Clapper
APPROVAL OF CONTINUATION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN PITKIN
COUNTY, ROARING FORK RAILROAD HOLDING AUTHORITY AND TOM
NEWLAND - Suzanne Konchan, County Manager, introduced this item as a professional
services agreement that allows Mr. Newland to be continued on the County payroll and
personnel system as the executive director for the Roaring Fork Railroad Holding
Authority. She said RFRHA has authorized the chair to execute this agreement upon
board approval.
Commissioner Farris moved approval of the professional services agreement with
Tom Newland. Commissioner Harper seconded the motion. Motion passed
unanimously.
DISCUSSION ON PUBLIC PROCESS FOR GROWTH MANAGEMENT
PROJECT -Nan Sundeen Hilary Smith and Marcella Larsen and commission members
proceeded with a discussion with respect to the process for the Growth Management
project.
ADJOURNMENT: Commissioner Farris moved to adjourn the meeting at 1:35
p.m. Commissioner Ireland seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.
