The applicant's representative, Dan Levinson, was unable to_attend the hearing due to an injury (broken ~.,,_ leg) and requested that the hearing be tabled to a later date. The Board tabled the hearing to March 10, 1986, and directed staff to further analyze the traffic impacts to Red Mountain Road generated by this proposal. The County Engineer, Tom Newland, has indicated that Red Mountain Road currently operates at_ approximately twice its capacity. The presence of an additional dwelling snit could' increase,,, __ traffic by 7 trips per day. This increase in traffic would have, at most, a marginal effect on the work already needed to improve Red Mountain Road to an acceptable standard (see attached memo from Tom Newland, 3/4/86): Therefore, we do "not think if is reasonable to`, _.: .,_ reject this particular application foi this reason, unless the Board intends `to make a total,.. shut in policy regarding employee dwelling units on Red Mountain. Rent shall be calculated in accordance with the low income guidelines established by the FIOUSing Authority of the City of . Aspen and Pit kin County or a successor thereto.
