January 14, 1969
The Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado, met at
10:00 o'clock AM, Januury 14, 1969 with the following members present: T. J.
Sardy, Chairman; Commissioners Clyca Vagneur and J, Sterling Baxter; County
Attorney Robert Delaney absent having been excused; Peggy E, Miklich, County
Clerk,
No old business appearing before the Boardit was regularly motion
and moved that the Board adjourn Sine Die,
Nominations were opened for temporary Chairman T, J. Sardy nominated
temporary Chairman,
There upon nominations were opened for permanent Chairman, T. J. Sardy
nom>nated Clyde Vagneur, nomination seconded by J, Sterling Baxter and Clyde
Vagndur unanimously elected chairman and took the chair,
T. J. Sardy elected Vice Chairman,
The appointment of a Health Officer was tabled for further consideration
at a later meeting,
Peggy E, Miklich was appointed as County Budget officer for the year
1969,
Warren Conner appointed County Inventory Officer for the year 1969.
Milton Conner appointed Service Officer for the year.
Harvey Hale appointed as Road Overseer,
John Woolley appointed as Road Overseer for the Frying Pan District,
Robert Delaney appointed County Attorney for the year 1969 or at the
pleasure of the Board,
Marvin Reynolds appointed as County Building Inspector,
John Schutte appointed as Janitor of the Court House for the ydar 1969.
The Bank of Aspen was named as Depository for County Funds,
The Aspen Times was appointed as the Official Newspaper for the
year 1969.
Appointments for the Pitkin County Library Board; Pitkin County
Planning and Zoning Commission; Pitkin County Board of Adjustment and Aspen
Valley Hospital were tabled till a later date,
ere bein no further business the Board adjoured. I
