The Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado, metat 10:00 o'clock AM, November
30, 1970, with the following members present: Chairman J. Sterling Baxter; Commissioners T. J. Sardy and
Clyde Vagnuer, Administrative Assistant Terry McAnnany; Peggy E. Miklich, Clerk; Leonard Oates County Attorney.
Administrative Assistant McAnnany presented the 1971
Pitkin County Budget for final adoption. Upon motion duly made
and seconded, the following resolution was unanimously adopted:
~tirHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin
County have carefully considered Budget requests for the year 1971;
have prepared, examined and revised a proposed Budget which was
duly filed, advertised arld made available for public inspection,
and is now ready for final adoption,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Budget is hereby
approved and adopted as ~~nd for the Budget of Pitkin County, for
the year 1971 and that the several amounts set forth therein
are hereby appropriated for the uses a.:d purposes therein stated
to be realized from sources of income shown in said Budget, the
amounts appropriated to the several funds being as follows:
County General Fund, including County ;~iospital
and County Employees
Pension Fund $860,580.00
Road and Bridge Fund $317,685.00
Public Welfare Fund $ 55,800.00
Continent 1~'und $ 70,000.00
Mrs. Peggy Miklich, Pitkin County Clerk, and Administrative
Assistant McAnnany submitted the levy requests from the School, Water,
and Sanitation Districts, along with the County needs. Upon motion
duly made and seconded, the following resolution was unanimously
adopted:
WHL~;EAS, a Budget has been duly adopted for Pitkin County
and appropriations made thereunder, and Budget requests have been
received and considered, and are required to be extended by the
rs~ard of County Commissioners of ::~tkin County from the several
taxing; agencies covering ad valorom taxes for the year ].970, payable
in 1'71,
`1~HEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TrIE BOARD OF COUNTY COMTIISSIONERS
OF PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO, That there shall be extended a mill levy
against each dollar of assessed valuation on the tax rolls of
Pitkin County for 1971, subject to the approval by the State of
Colorado of the legality of the Aspen School District's increase,
the following mill levies and amounts:

~i-Lazy Seven. After discus:, these in detail and upon motion
duly made and seconded, the above ,ed .liquor license renewals
were approved by the Board of Coun~;y commissioners.
