HomeMy WebLinkAboutbocc.min.reg.07181968July 18, 1968 6~ ~! ~ The Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado, met at 10:00 o'clock AM, July 18, 1968, with the followimg present: Chairman T. J. Sardy; Commissioners Orest A. Gerbaz, J. Sterling Baxter,; County Attorney Robert Delaney; County Clerk Peggy E. Coble. Bills were audited, approved and ordered paid from Various Funds as follows: OLD AGE PENSION FUND: $2,555.00 PUBLIC WELFARE FUND: $1,344.08 The Commissioners discussed road work and a continuation of the road surfacing program for the remainder of the year 1968 with Road Overseer Harvey Hale. Mr. Stewart Mace appeared before the Commissioners advis- ing that he had been informed that a Complaint was made by the Commissioners to the effect that his dogs were kept in such manner as to pollute Castle Creek. He stated this was not true and invited inspection. The Commissioners informed him they had not made such a complaint. The Commissioners discussed various hospital matters with Mrs. Rose Stanton, Chairman of the Pitkin County Hospital Board. The purchase of a cardiac monitor from the hospital improvement fund at a cost of $1,000.00 was approved. The Commissioners inspected the new Snowmass Bridge and also inspected a section of road through the property of Mr. Perry Christensen, who had made complaint of damage to his ditch and fences below the road caused by rocks rolled down from the road in connection with road improvement. He was advised the County would make immediate arrangements to have rocks that might have been rolled down by their operations into his ditch removed, and would make a further investigation with respect to the fencing situation. i The Commissioners discussed various zoning matters with Mr. Edgar Stanton, Chairman of the Planning & Zoning Commission. At the request of Mr. Charles Vidal, and with the con- currence of the Planning & Zoning Commission, a plat of Wood Run Unit ##3 containing four lots belonging to the Snowmass-at Aspen joint venture was approved. Agreement was reached with Mr. Vidal for Snowmass-at- Aspen on patrolling and police work done by the Pitkin County Sheriff's Office at Snowmass-at-Aspen, the County would pay the first $75.00 per month of mileage charged by the Sheriff's Officers and Snowmass-at-Aspen would pay amounts in excess of that. here b 'n no further business,-the meeti~ adjourned.
