Home My WebLink Aboutbocc.res.116.1976ecorded at 2:02 P.M., Septembe 8, 1976 Julie Hane, Recorder .. .:eption Numbef s~0~ 31 ~ i'AC~ X29 PITKIN COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Resolution #76~ Concerning: Cancellation of Taxes WHEREAS, Colorado law provides that any taxes levied on personal property which are determined to be uncollectable after a period of six years after the date of their becoming delinquent may be cancelled by the Board of County Commissioners, and WHEREAS, Exhibit A to this Resolution contains a list of delinquent taxes subject to the six-year provision, and WHEREAS, the Treasurer and this Board have determined that the taxes are uncollectable, and WHEREAS, Exhibit B contains a list of 4 open taxes which were doubly assessed and which should therefore be cancelled, and WHEREAS, Exhibit C contains a list of 20 instances where certificates of taxes paid were issued, although taxes were not paid, rendering the taxes uncollectable (39-10-115(2) C.R.S. 1973). NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the taxes as listed in Exhibits A, 6 and C be cancelled for the reasons aforesaid.
