BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS PITKIN COUNTY
Resolution No. 76- /~
WHEREAS, the existing hospital facility will be vacated in the
summer of 1977 and the use of the building and land will revert to Pitkin
County, and
WHEREAS, the Commissioners desire to create a Community Services
Facility for the benefits of the citizens of Pitkin County, and
WHEREAS, such action is supported by the Community Facilities
Board, the Council on Aging, the Human Resource Council, the Steering Commit-
tee for Community Center, and the League of Women Voters:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners
of Pitkin County as follows:
Section 1: The hospital building when vacated, and appropriate
surrounding lands, shall be designated for a Community Services
Facility.
Section. 2: The Human Resources Coordinator, Betty Erickson, is
hereby assigned to coordinate this project, receive citizen input,
be responsible to Commissioners for financial feasibility reviews
and progress reports and to explore grant possibilities for
Community Services facility development.
Approved and adopted this 22nd day of November, 1976.
