Additional funding and scope added through AIP No. 3-08-0003-34 for Federal/Non-Federal Change Order No. 4. JUSTIFICATION FOR CHANGE 1. Brief description of the proposed contract change(s) and location(s). This change order will consist of the installation of the runway sensor system that was removed per Supplemental Agreement #1 for AIP project No. 3-08-0003-33. The items installed by this change order include three in-pavement sensors installed in Runway 15/33, a secondary AWOS, all necessary duct work and wiring for installation, and installation of electronic components for monitoring and notification of weather and runway conditions to the airport. See attached cost estimate for bid items and descriptions of work. 2. Reason(s) for the change(s) (Continue on reverse if necessary) Due to lack of initial funding, the items required to install a runway sensors system at the Aspen-Pitkin County airport were removed from bid items for AIP 3-08-003-33. As funding was established for the sensor systems by AIP 3-08-0003-34 this change order has become possible. Total change order funding is limited in Federal involvement, therefore this is dual classified. 3. Justifications for unit prices or total cost. The unit prices for payment items were negotiated based on work being accomplished under different conditions. Quantities and costs are considered reasonable and fair. See the attached "Cost Estimate" for unit costs and a total change order cost summary. 4. The sponsor's share of this cost is available from: Local funds. 5.
